Part of a defence that was rarely troubled but, like Courtois, his concentration didn’t fade, and he was alive to the danger when he needed to be. Scored a magnificent header 10 minutes into the second half after a lovely Cesc Fabregas cross to open his account this season. Antonio Rudiger replaced him in the 75th minute.
