Arsenal Ready To Splash The Cash For Bundesliga Star

Arsenal looks all set to splash the cash for Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer to follow-up their likely signing of Chelsea star Petr Cech with another high-powered deal, Sports Courant reported.

News reports emerging in mainstream British media suggests that the Gunners are willing to offer £28.7million to seal the signatures of prized striker known for his speed and tactical intelligence at the frontline.

The Dortmund forward made 46 appearances for his side across all competitions last season and bagged an impressive tally 25 goals apart from registering 11 assists.

Despite his personal heroics, Dortmund suffered a disappointing campaign.

Arsenal boss Manager Arsene Wenger only turned his attention to the Bundesliga star after failing to land Porto’s Colombian striker Jackson Martinez – who is all set to be part of former Spanish champion’s dugout.

A potential link-up with Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez could see Wenger form one of the fastest attacks in Europe.

The Gunners remained linked with Martinez for several months, but Atletico Madrid moved ahead of their Premier League counterparts to seal the deal with Colombian international, selling Croatian forward Mario Mandzukic to Juventus at the same time.

Liverpool were also believed to be interested in signing the striker recently. However, the current price tag might force them keep their attention on alternatives.

The FA Cup holders are hoping for some big transfer business this summer and are all set to tear away goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea later this week. Both the clubs have reportedly agreed on £11million transfer fee though official confirmation regarding the deal is yet to surface.
