Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup Against Southampton

Chelsea will welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues will be hoping to put in a good performance after going down to FC Porto in midweek.

Ahead of the game against the Saints, we will look at strongest predicted Chelsea line up:

Goalkeeper – Asmir Begovic

Begovic is not in his top form since moving from Stoke City. But with first choice keeper Thibaut Courtois, Jose Mourinho has no option but to start the Bosnian international.

Right Back – Cesar Azpilicueta

With Ivanovic struggling, Azpilicueta could be moved to right side.

Left Back – Baba Rahman

Abdul Baba Rahman has looked good whenever he played for the club. The promising summer signing could get his first start for the Premier League Champions, if Azpilicueta moves down the flanks to replace Ivanovic.

Center Back – Gary Cahill

Cahill is expected to lead Chelsea with Ivanovic and Terry dropped out of the match day squad.

Center Back – Kurt Zouma

After a strong run of form since he replaced John Terry in the first-team, Kurt Zouma will start once again for the Blues.

Central Midfield – Nemanja Matic

Rested against Porto, Nemanja Matic will return to Chelsea line up. He is one of the most important players for the Blues.

Central Midfield – Ramires

With Cesc Fabregas in a poor run of form, Ramiers will get another chance to impress Jose Mourinho against the Saints.

Right Wing – Willian

With Oscar out of form, Willian could start on the right wing after putting in some good performance in recent games.

Left Wing – Eden Hazard

Hazard was rested in the midweek fixture. He will make his return to the starting eleven against the Saints.

Central Attacking Midfielder – Pedro

Pedro may not be in his top form. But he is likely to replace Oscar, who failed to impress in his recent appearances for the club.

Striker – Loic Remy

With Diego Costa serving his last of the 3 match ban this weekend, Loic Remy will lead the line for Chelsea. Summer signing Falcao will start the game from the bench.
