List of Players on Chelsea Radar For Winter Transfer Window

Date:

Reigning Premier League champions are having a difficult start of the season. After miserable summer business, they now need to think about January transfer window and possible reinforcements.

The team is unrecognizable when we compare it with the last season. Eden Hazard cannot find his form from the last two years. Diego Costa lost the lethal touch in front of the goal that he once had. The new arrivals are simply not good enough, so Mourinho will need several additions in the next transfer window. Obviously, the biggest problem is defense. Chelsea conceded 17 goals in 8 games, their famous “bus” isn’t working anymore, and this defense is the second worst in the BPL.

John Terry failed to show that he still own the required quality to be the leader of the team and that his place in the first XI is cemented. That is clearly not the case anymore, and the skipper is expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The question is which players would improve the shaky defense?

Mourinho knows the answer and he knew it last summer as well, but the John Stones’ move failed, and the Portuguese manager now needs to step up in his pursuit once again. The 21-years-old Everton defender is attracting interest from Chelsea for a long time and the Toffees before resisted selling him. The young Englishman is a top priority target for the Blues in January.

Another defender is in the frame, and that is Marquinhos, the Brazilian from PSG. The French champions rejected Chelsea’s offer around £30 mil last summer, but it is widely expected that the Premier League champions will attempt to bring him in January. These two players would certainly improve the wobbly defense.

The attack is also a problem for Mourinho. Diego Costa is not in form, Falcao proved to be a flop and the club already announced that they will not bring him on a permanent contract once the loan expires. Pedro also failed to settle in England and “The Special One” is in the hunt for the new striker. The adequate player is yet to be found; however, I don’t think Mourinho will make the same mistake like with Falcao. This time, he is going to spend big, and the club is still able to attract players of the highest caliber.

It is rumored that Abramovich is willing to splash around £100 mil this winter for the reinforcements.
