Jack-Leach England vs New Zealand

Following their lacklustre Ashes campaign, England are visiting New Zealand for a short test match series. We take a look at five English players who can trouble the hosts on their home soil. New Zealand will need to find a way to tackle these players. The Black Caps will not make it easy for England as this is their last test series in what has been a summer that they haven’t played a lot of tests.

After the day-night test match was introduced, New Zealand Cricket decided to have a round of day/night matches held around the country in the four-day domestic cricket competition, the Plunket Shield. In this round, we saw a lot of wickets fall. James Anderson would have been at home resting after a sub-par Ashes series, but his exceptional performance in the day/night match played at the Adelaide Oval where he picked up 5-43 in the second innings earned him a place in the touring side.

The pace wizard has taken 52 wickets in 12 test matches against the Kiwis which includes three 10 wicket hauls and will be keen to add to his already impressive record.
