Former Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has on Thursday named two Napoli stars whom he would most like to see lining out in the colors of the Bianconeri.

One of the headline fixtures of the upcoming Serie A gameweek is set to see Juventus lock horns with Napoli, on Saturday night. The matchup features a whole host of headline-worthy talking points, from the race for the Scudetto to Antonio Conte’s latest return to Turin and more.

Speaking during an interview with Radio Punto Nuovo, as cited by Calciomercato, this week, it therefore came as little surprise when several such topics were put to the aforementioned Giovanni Cobolli Gigli. And one response provided by the ex-Juve chief, in particular, has since turned heads.

As much came upon Cobolli Gigli being asked which member of Antonio Conte’s Napoli squad he would ‘steal’ away to Turin, if afforded the chance. And the Italian did not hesitate in pointing towards star Partenopei wide-man Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a player whom he feels would do ‘extraordinary things’ in Bianconeri colors:

“Who would I steal from Napoli’s starting eleven? Absolutely Kvaratskhelia! I like him a lot and he would do extraordinary things for Juve.”

Cobolli Gigli did not stop there, though, also revealing his admiration for another member of the attacking ranks at Napoli, in summer signing Romeu Lukaku:

“Then also Lukaku, he is a player who can shift the balance on his own and it is no coincidence that Conte requested him at all costs. Bremer, Gatti, and Danilo will have to work overtime to keep both of them at bay.”

Interestingly, both Kvaratskhelia and Lukaku have actually been heavily linked with moves to the Allianz Stadium in the not-so-distant past. The former is understood to have been on the radar of the Old Lady prior to completing his move to Naples, whilst frontman Lukaku was lined up in what would have been a head-turning swap deal with Manchester United for Paulo Dybala.
