Chelsea’s poor performances across all competitions could be attributed to some bad omens within the team as some players seem discontent with life as a Blue judging by their showings on the pitch this season.

The Blues have had to endure one of their worst campaigns in modern-day football as they don’t appear to be in the running for a continental competition this term.

For Chelsea to secure Europa League football ahead of next season, the likes of Southampton, Stoke City and Liverpool will have to hit a rocky path in their coming fixtures to give way for Chelsea’s entry into the top seven, but the chances of something of that sort occurring are quite slim.

At the moment, the Chelsea hierarchy seems to be looking towards the rebuilding task ahead of next season following the announcement of Antonio Conte as Guus Hiddink’s successor.

The imminent arrival of Antonio Conte has been greeted with much expectation amongst other things due to the eminence attached to his reputation considering his highly successful stint at Juventus, which saw the Bianconerri bring home the Scudetto on multi occasions.

Conte will be keen on changing things at Chelsea to have the instant impact most people are expecting of him, so without further ado let’s take a look at the five Chelsea players who could be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

5Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has gone from Hero to Zero within the space of a year as he’s been on some kind of ghost mode all through the season.

The Belgium international won the hearts of all Premier League supporters last season with his dazzling displays which saw him named as the PFA Player of the year for the 2014/15 season, although he has been unable to reach the heights he once attained the last term.

Hazard has scored just  two goals in 37 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions this season which is a far cry from his tally of 14 goals which he managed last season in the Premier League.

His dip in form is undeniably alarming and by the looks of things, it might take him a while to rekindle the fire that put him in the Premier League’s spotlight.

But with the likes of Real Madrid and PSG keen on acquiring his services, Hazard might opt for a move to seemingly greener pastures in the summer in a bid to revive his career as well as to win trophies.

4Oscar

Oscar

The talented Brazilian hasn’t really clicked this season regarding his goal return and assists tally.

Oscar has managed just eight goals in 37 appearances this season, but a player of his calibre should actually be hitting double figures every term.

Juventus have been linked with a move for Oscar in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether the speculation will materialize into a deal.

3Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois

The Chelsea goalie looks to be disgruntled with the club’s current Predicament and may opt for a move out of London in the summer.

Courtois is a highly rated figure at Stamford Bridge, and it would be utterly disheartening to see him leave the club that put his name out there but with Chelsea’s lack of success this season Courtois might be keen on an exit.

Asmir Begovic has expressed his desire to stay at the club so if Courtois actually leaves then Begovic will take over the number one spot.

The Belgium international has caught the eye of Real Madrid in recent times, but it’s too soon to say if a deal will be done.

2Pedro Rodriguez

Pedro Rodriguez

It’s fair to say that Pedro hasn’t had the best of times in the Premier League this season with his tally of 7 goals in 35 appearances for Chelsea this season.

He left Barcelona with the intent to prove his doubters wrong, but his performances aren’t exactly what one would call exceptional.

A move out of the Premier League would suit his style of play as he doesn’t seem cut out for the fast-paced football which the Premier League is accustomed to.

1Diego Costa

The Brazilian-born striker is reportedly discontent in the Premier League and is keen on a move back to Atletico Madrid, but Antonio Conte has expressed his desire to keep Costa at Stamford Bridge and is set to hold talks with him regarding his stay.

Costa has done a good job of finding his form under interim manager Guus Hiddink as he’s taken his Premier League season tally up to 11 goals in 24 appearances.

Costa, though, seems bent on a move back to his former club Atletico, and Diego Simeone is also keen on having his number one hit man back at the Vincente Calderon.

Costa’s situation is delicately poised and may go both ways at the end of the season, but with the way things are set to pan out, a move back to Spain might be on the cards for Diego.
