Former Spanish Starlet Caught on Van Gaal’s Radar

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Magpies star Ayoze Perez.

Mauricio Pochettino is also keen on signing the Newcastle forward.

Tottenham had a bid rejected by Newcastle for the young starlet on deadline day, but the possibility of Perez leaving has risen due to the interest from Manchester United.

Although United didn’t make a bid for Perez in the summer, the Red Devils have been scouting the 22-year-old and keeping track of his progress in the Premier League.

In the midst of Newcastle’s poor performances in the league, Perez has still continued to impress, and a move to Old Trafford might be imminent with the January transfer window just around the corner.

Anthony Martial made a stunning start to the Premier League since his big-money move to United, but a struggling Wayne Rooney has prompted Van Gaal to seek reinforcements in the attack, and Perez seems like the perfect option.

Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has come out to express his admiration for Ayoze Perez praising his quick feet in particular.

Perez is aware of the interest from the Red Devils but says he is only focused on life at Newcastle.

Perez joined Newcastle from Tenerife for £1.5million in 2014 and has been impressive in the Premier League since his arrival at St James’ Park.

Perez has bagged just one goal in six appearances for the Magpies so far this season, but he has admitted that he’s looking to improve his goal scoring record during the season.
