Ander Herrera, who has seen his United career going downhill under Loius Van Gaal, is looking forward to showdown talks with the manager to discuss his future at the Old Trafford.

The Spanish playmaker arrived from Bilbao in June 2014 for £29million after giving some breath-taking performances for the Spanish club. However, he has been limited to just 32 appearances since his arrival and seems unhappy being a fringe player at Old Trafford.

“Ander is worried about his lack of progress at Manchester United under Louis van Gaal. He feels like he’s lost his identity as a player and doesn’t know what his role is anymore. His situation appears to be getting worse, and he’s worried his career is going backwards, so there will have to be a chat with the manager,” Daily Star reported a trusted source as saying.

Herrera, currently below Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin in the pecking order, remains sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained in the game against Watford.

One major concern for the Spaniard will be his inability to make the La Roja’s squad as the European Championship looms. Many soccer pundits believe Herrera is the missing flare United are currently lacking in the attack. However, United manager thinks otherwise.

Herrera will look to clear the air over his future at the club with a meeting with Van Gaal.

Neves set for Arsenal switch

Ruben Neves

If reports emerging through mainstream media are to be believed, Arsenal are set to sign Porto’s Ruben Neves to strengthen their injury-plagued midfield.

Neves is a defensive midfielder who made his debut for Porto at the age of 17 and has since cemented his place in the Portuguese side. He made his senior national team debut in November in the 1-0 loss to Luxembourg.

The budding starlet has been described as an excellent midfielder who can attack and pass the ball accurately. He has been praised for a good positioning skill he possesses at such a tender age.

Arsenal will have to shell out around £22million to secure the services of the Porto man who has also attracted interest from other European clubs. The Gunners will hope they can have him in their ranks by January.

Muller to replace Costa at Stamford Bridge?

Thomas Muller

The Guardian has reported that it that Chelsea are planning to bring Muller to London as a replacement for Diego Costa after his recent bib-throwing at Jose Mourinho on Sunday.

Muller has also been strongly linked to Manchester United in recent times, but German legend Mathius feels Muller does not need any of these two English teams;

“He does not need Manchester United or Chelsea. “Barcelona perhaps could use him, but I do not know whether he can deal with their game.”

“He started his professional career at Bayern, and I think he should end his career here. He does not need any new challenge as he is always playing at the highest level every year at Bayern,” The Telegraph reported him as saying

Although Chelsea have also opened talks with Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Alex Teixeira as claimed by the player himself, Mourinho’s response to Costa’s unacceptable act is yet to be known.

SO, will we see Muller or a new forward at Chelsea in January or next summer? Or will The blues stick to Costa?
