The news of Jose’s sacking by the Chelsea football club has left the Stamford Bridge faithful Shell-shocked. The departure of the most successful manager in the 110-year history of Chelsea has been a disappointment. However, there are some sections of Chelsea fans who believe that the sacking was justified, considering the poor outcomes this season. There is a very similar situation with the Chelsea players at the moment. There are a few stars who are jubilant due to the departure of the Portuguese whereas there are some who are left disgusted after the sacking of their legendary manager. We now take a look at the Happy faces and the long faces at the Chelsea FC.

The Happy faces:

The players below are the ones who would be much more than pleased to see Jose leave as the Chelsea Manager. Certain feuds between these players and Jose had emerged during the season, and it looks that these players would now give their 100% for the team.

Diego Costa

Diego Costa

One player who looked absolutely out of his playing boots this season was Diego Costa. The striker would now be on the happy side after the departure of Jose. He would feel that a new approach could also help him to score more goals. He has managed to score only four goals this term in all competitions.

Eden Hazard

Eden-Hazard

Another player who has been at the center of a fan, as well as media criticism, is the Belgian left-winger Eden Hazard. Various reports suggest that Hazard had faked his injury during the Leicester clash as there was minimal contact. Moreover, his season has been very disappointing. He has looked a mere shadow of his former self. He would be hoping to turn his season around under a new boss.

Cesc Fabregas

Cesc-Fabregas

Cesc had recently urged Chelsea players to play in the way they earn in his support for Jose. However, it is clear that he would be one of the happiest one after his departure. Under a new manager, he would be hoping to play the free role over Oscar. He will be hoping for a role that lets him use his attacking prowess more than defending.

Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill

Once a regular starter for Jose, Gary Cahill has failed to impress this season. He has ultimately lost his place to a young Zouma. As a result, he would be hoping to benefit from Jose’s sack by play more often in the future. John Terry’s declining performances due to his age and Zouma’s inconsistent performances could give him an opportunity to prove his worth.

The Long faces:

Willian

Willian

Willian has been the best Chelsea player this season by a country mile. He has been at the center of everything good that Chelsea has done this season. He has scored at a consistent rate and also created a large number of chances. He would be uncertain of his spot in the new system due to the availability of Pedro and Kenedy.

John Terry:

Terry hasn’t been anywhere close to his former self. However, Jose and JT maintained a warm relationship. He would be sorrowful to see his old friend go away from the club. The Chelsea captain would now be looking to lead the team from the front.

Azpilicueta

Cesar Azpilicueta

If one had to name the best Chelsea defender in this disappointing season, it has to be Cesar Azpilicueta. He was a consistent player for Jose, who gave his heart and soul to the team. Moreover, it was Jose who gave him a new role at the Left back position over the much more experienced and world renowned players like Cole and Luis. He had a huge respect for Jose.

Zouma

Zouma

Zouma was another player who got his breakthrough courtesy of Jose. This season, he has been a regular starter ahead of Gary Cahill, and he would now be looking his future at the club. He would be disappointed to see Jose leave the club.
