It has come to light that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski wants a new challenge away from the German club. After 7 years with the Bavarian club, Lewandowski feels the time has come to move onto pastures new. However, are there going to be clubs interested in him?
The Polish striker has taken the Bundesliga by storm when he arrived at Bayern’s rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2010. He scored 74 league goals for them before a move to Bayern Munich materialized in 2014. Lewandowski went from strength to strength and alongside Bayern, he has helped them win the title every single season he has been with the club.
Alongside the league title, Lewandowski has taken home three German cups, five German super cups, and one Champions League during his time. On an individual level, he has won the Bundesliga player of the year twice, the Bundesliga top goal scorer six times, and been named in the Bundesliga team of the season nine times.
It is more than understandable at 32 he feels that he has achieved all that he can in Germany. However, his age is no question and will not take anything away from his price tag. As he still has the clinical touch of a lethal striker, Bayern will not be allowing him to go for a cheap price. The rumored price tag is €100 million but this will not deter his former manager Pep Guardiola.
Manchester City are in desperate need of a clinical number nine since they let Sergio Aguero leave.
