After undergoing a frustrating spell at Chelsea under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho, 19-year old midfielder Reuben Loftus-Cheek is set to have talks with the club in an attempt to secure a loan move away from the Stamford Bridge, according to The Times.

Last Season after winning the Premier League title, Jose Mourinho opted to give the youngster more time in the Starting 11. His inclusion in the Chelsea Senior team was a huge boost for the Chelsea youth academy as Loftus-Cheek was one of their star players.

However, while he had played for Chelsea 4 times this Season, the midfielder is not happy with the un-fulfilment of the promise that was given to him by Jose Mourinho. Many people thought that the Englishman would play more games for Chelsea when the form of Nemanja Matic went rogue.

But after giving the Englishman few chances to shine, Mourinho has reverted to employing Nemanja Matic in the defensive midfield department of Chelsea.

A host of Premier League and even some Champions League clubs have asked Chelsea about the availability of the teenager. However, despite all this, it’s hard to see that how could Mourinho allow the English midfielder to leave when his midfield department is struggling.

The likes of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic have been performing well below par this Season. In addition to the duo, Mikel was also unimpressive when given a chance against Liverpool a few weeks back. Therefore, with the pool of midfielder so shallow to pick from, Mourinho might not grant the Englishman his wish of leaving the club in January.

Liverpool going after Barcelona winger

Jurgen Klopp might have been handed his first defeat of the Liverpool career on Sunday. However, that hasn’t stopped the German from dreaming big. According to reports coming from Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net, Liverpool have now declared an official interest to FC Barcelona to acquire the services of Christian Tello.

Currently on loan at Portuguese side FC Porto where he is destined to stay till the end of this Season, Tello has openly declared that he don’t want to return to Barcelona in the summer. His statement of not going back to Camp Nou makes sense as there will be very little first team action awaiting him if he returns to Barcelona next Season.

With Messi, Suarez and Neymar in the form of their lives, Barcelona have Munir El Haddadi as an excellent substitute in case 1 of the trio gets injured. Thus, it looks like a certainty that Tello will follow the footsteps of Sanchez and Pedro as he looks set to leave FC Barcelona.

Liverpool have been long-term admirers of Christian Tello, and they expressed their interest in signing him even before the arrival of Jurgen Klopp. However, Barcelona were adamant about giving him out on loan due to which Liverpool backtracked.

However, now that the player himself has described his wish of leaving FC Barcelona in search of more game time, the Reds look like a perfect destination for him.
