In one of the most staggering transfer news after Summer transfer window, Spanish Website Don Balon has claimed that Manchester United boss talked with Alexis Sanchez to lure the Chilean to the Old Trafford.

It is safe to see that many of us wouldn’t have seen this coming. However, this News has come just a day after Louis Van Gaal claimed his desire of adding speed and creativity to his Manchester United squad.

Talking about the need for speed in his team, here’s what the Dutch Manager had to say regarding new transfer targets.

“I have said already in my first year many times we need speed and creativity on the wings; You have seen that now we play with Jesse Lingard, and he is not the most speedy winger in the world and Mata is also not the most speedy winger in the world.

“So first we must first finish that problem and then we can see how we have to play and how we are in balance with playing with speedy wingers.” Said the Dutchman.

At 26-years of age, Sanchez has grown to be one of the most dangerous wingers in the World after leaving Barcelona 2 Seasons ago. He has scored 22 goals for Arsenal already and has been in top form this Season for the Gunners.

Therefore, while many in the North London won’t like it, Sanchez could just be the last piece of the puzzle for the Red Devils to claim their 21st Premier League title.

Talking about the price tag and while this might be a long shot, it would cost Manchester United more money to land Sanchez than what they paid for Memphis Depay in the summer.

Arsenal in Pursuit of Leicester City winger

Turning our attention to Arsenal and it seems that Arsene Wenger has found a recipe of battling with the injuries to his star players this Season. Out of the 10 players that weren’t available for the Gunners against Tottenham, 3 of them played on the wing which means their absence decimated the capability of the Arsenal squad.

Reported by The Express quoted from Ghana Soccernet, Arsene Wenger is ready to spend 10-Million Pounds to sign the Leicester City winger. While it is not the headline earning Riyad Mahrez whom the Gunners fans would have hoped for, Arsenal is going after Jeffrey Schlupp.

At 22-years of age, Schlupp has also attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, who also want to acquire their signature in January.

His name might not be enough to raise the expectations of the Arsenal faithful, however, for any person who is following the rise of Leicester this Season, it might not have been possible for them without the services of the 22-year-old.

He has made 11 Appearances for Leicester this Season scoring 1 goal in the process. However, while he had left the goal-scoring duties to the likes of Mahrez and Vardy, the chance creation ability of the 22-year old has been sublime this Season.

If Arsenal wants to secure his signature, they would have to force Claudio Ranieri of going against his wish as the Italian remains adamant of not doing any business in January.

The Italian boss is aware that the rise of Leicester would bring several big clubs at their door for their players. However, he remains adamant that none of his star players will leave in January transfer window.
