Manchester United vs Swansea City Live

Date:

Manchester United will be looking to register their third win in Barclays Premier League 2015-16 Swansea City when Swansea City would welcome them to Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

The Red Devils are sitting at fourth place in the EPL table after bagging seven points from a possible nine. They began their campaign with back-to-back 1-0 wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa before being held to a goalless draw by Newcastle United.

Louis Van Gaal’s troops will travel to Swansea having sealed a berth in the group stage of Champions League thanks to an aggregate 7-1 win over Club Brugge.

Swansea, on the other hand, are placed eighth in the league standing after collecting five points from three games.

The South-Welsh side opened the new season with a 2-2 draw against reigning Premier League champions Chelsea before beating Swansea City 2-0 and were held to a 1-1 draw by Sunderland last time out.

Swans defeated United in both home and away fixtures with a 2-1 scoreline in last top flight season. However, the Red Devils hold an edge in the overall head-to-head record with seven wins from 12 meetings in all competitions.

Team News:

United winger Adnan Januzaj has been ruled out after picking a knock during Champions League clash against Club Brugge on Wednesday. He is expected to replace by Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Summer signing Morgan Schneiderlin is likely to replace veteran Michael Carrick.

Ander Herrera is expected to get his first Premier League start of the season while Marouane Fellaini could return as a substitute after serving a three-match ban.

Javier Hernandez is likely to be handed a role on the bench despite reportedly being told that he is free to leave the Old Trafford.

Swansea suffered a massive blow ahead of the clash when winger Jefferson Montero was ruled out after sustaining a thigh injury in training. Wayne Routledge is likely to make his first start in his absence.

There could still no room for Leon Britton, who is yet to play a game this season.

Ki Sung-Young and Franck Tabanou are likely to start on the bench for the home side.

Possible Starting Line-Ups:

Swansea City: Fernandez, Williams, Fabianski; Naughton, Ayew, Routledge; Gomis, Shelvey; Sigurdsson, Taylor; Cork,

Manchester United: Smalling, Romero; Darmian, Schneiderlin, Memphis; Rooney, Blind, Shaw; Schweinsteiger; Mata, Herrera
