MK Dons isn’t in the best form at the moment, and although there are a few players that can cause disarray in Chelsea’s defence, the home ground will be their biggest weapon. However, some of the home team players are in continuously good form and will certainly test the keeper occasionally.

Chelsea showed more stability under Hiddink, and it seems like the things started to get better lately, yet they’re having difficulties on the defensive part of tactics. Neither of three most used centre-backs impressed; rather made the weakest part of the team. The Blues kept a clean sheet in three out of last five games but have conceded five goals in two draws. Branislav Ivanovic will be under most pressure, though, and one particular Dons’ winger can cause him a lot of trouble.

Let’s have a look at some of the Dons players who can cause disarray in Chelsea’s defence

3Josh Murphy:

Josh Murphy

Josh Murphy is undoubtedly one of the best players at MK with a lot of potential to trigger an upset in the big ticket matches. At just 20, Murphy has already capped for England U18, U19 and U20 respectively. There is no doubt that the youngster is destined to progress fast, and we will probably see him regularly in the BPL in a few years, if not the next one. His movement and pace will undoubtedly present a threat to Ivanovic, and the Serbian will have some work to do.

The young lad has scored six times for MK in all competitions this season apart from making five assists and will surely strive to improve his tally against the reigning Premier League champions.

2Jonathan William

Jonathan William

Jonathan Williams can be another threat from the wide areas if deployed on the right wing. The Welsh international has recently joined the club after playing the first part of the season with Nottingham Forrest where he didn’t get enough playing time.

Williams’ parent club, Crystal Palace, decided to terminate the loan at Forrest and sent him to MK assuming that he will get more playing time with the Stadium MK outfit. The emerging talent has shown some real attributes like work rate, tenacity and Steven Naismith’s like kind of movement while playing for both Wales and as well as the club. If started, Williams is expected to create some real trouble for the Stamford Bridge club.

1Nicky Maynard

Nicky Maynard

Nicky Maynard or/and Simon Church. Whoever of two strikers starts the game; the possibility of Chelsea defence getting eaten up is quite significant. However, the Cup games are an entirely different story and the probable Blues’ starters Zouma and Cahill haven’t shown stability and calmness playing together. That could be an opportunity for the strikers who are without a Premier League goal, but with decent Championship record.
