Porto Vs Chelsea: Preview, TV Info & Live Stream

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will return to Portugal, to face his former club Porto FC in the second game of the Champions League group stage on Tuesday.

Mourinho famously won the 2004 Champions League title with the Portuguese club.

Blues convincingly defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 in their Group G opener and were the only English club to have won their game in the opening round of matches. But Blues’ domestic form has been a constant source worry for them. Mourinho will expect his team to get over their domestic troubles in the continental competition.

The Portuguese powerhouse, meanwhile, are unbeaten in the domestic league but could only manage a 2-2 draw with Dynamo Kiev in their opening group game.

The Blues will have Diego Costa available for selection after he missed out the weekend’s 2-2 draw against Newcastle United due to suspension.

Porto manager Julen Lopetegu will miss the services of Yacine Brahimi as the winger is suffering from a knee injury. Midfielders Hector Herrera and Silvestre Varela have been left out of the squad.

There will also be other re- acquaintances in the game as Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas will look forward to getting one over Mourinho, with whom he shared a troubled relationship at Real Madrid. Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao will also return to the club where he shot to fame before sealing his move to Atletico Madrid.

Despite their poor form in Premier League, Chelsea will be the favourites to win the game, and they will have one foot in the last-16 if they manage to get three points out of this tie.
