Chelsea are set on trying to bring in a target man before the window closes. With news of a possible transfer ban coming into place for the London club they are exploring some interesting options, but an English man who will be cheap seems to be the way they are going. However, they are open to any burly striker as long as they score the goals they so desperately need.

5Andy Carroll, West Ham
The ponytailed Geordie was the first to be linked with Chelsea to the shock of everyone including his manager David Moyes. The striker has struggled for goals recently but that has not stopped the Champions pursuing the former Liverpool man. He is strong and very good in the air which would add another option to Antonio Conte’s side.
However, a massive money move seems to have been dashed following news that Carroll, once again, is injured until March. Chelsea look reluctant to do any business but might still take the punt if the return date is sooner.
