About us

Sports Courant has been a trusted voice in football journalism since 2014. Relaunched in 2026, we continue to deliver sharp tactical analysis, bold opinion pieces and authentic storytelling that goes beyond scores and statistics.

The site is founded and edited by Azhar Nadeem, who draws on more than 12 years of dedicated coverage of top-flight football, including live match reporting, squad evaluation and transfer market insight, to deliver balanced, informed perspectives. Sports Courant: where football meets insight, opinion and storytelling.

What we cover

Our focus is the Premier League and the Big Six in particular, with coverage extending to other Premier League clubs and major European leagues where directly relevant to Premier League transfer activity. We write for engaged supporters who already follow the game closely, not casual readers needing the basics explained.

Every transfer rumour or claim we publish is attributed to its original source, whether a journalist, an outlet or a club statement. Our role is to aggregate, contextualise and analyse, not to imply sources of our own unless that is genuinely the case. Reporting and opinion are kept clearly separate: news and rumour-roundup pieces stick to attributed claims, while our analysis and “why X should or shouldn’t sign Y” pieces are clearly framed as our own editorial take.

Ownership and funding

Sports Courant is independently owned and operated, with no external institutional ownership, investment or grant funding. The site is supported through advertising revenue.

Recognition

Sports Courant’s reporting has been cited by outlets including Yahoo Sports, Goal.pl, Tribuna.com and Voetbalprimeur.be, among others, as our coverage is followed and referenced across the European football media landscape.
