Eddie Nketiah Arsenal

In the 4th round of the Caraboa Cup, the Premier League Arsenal hosted Championship side, Norwich City to North London. The 4th round is the stage of the competition that nobody wants to exit from because the next round is the quarter-finals. In a match that was meant to be routine for the Gunners, they needed extra time to scrape past the Norfolk team. A brace from Eddie Nketiah was just about enough to see Arsène Wenger’s men through to the Quarter-Finals of the Caraboa Cup.

Here are the 3 standout performers from Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Norwich City.

3Matt Macey

Matt Macey

On his senior debut for the Gunners, Matt Macey was called into action more times than he would have expected. Arsène Wenger handed the 23-year-old his debut for the team and unfortunately, he conceded his first goal with the first chance of the game. As Josh Murphy chipped the ball over his outstretched hands. But besides that, Macey put in a stellar performance for the Gunners. His exceptional physical frame allowed him to dominate aerially, as he collected every cross that came into the box.

Macey was also left to fend for himself on several occasions as his defence abandoned him severally. But he was able to retain composure and keep a rampant Norwich team at bay for the rest of the game.
