Reports claim that Chelsea are keen on bolstering their attacking options during the January transfer window, and Carlos Bacca is one of their primary targets, according to Metro.

The London outfit are on somewhat of a season revival at the moment and they’re looking to bring in some high calibre players to help them get back to the top half of the points table.

The arrival of Guus Hiddink in the Chelsea dugout seems to have changed the dressing environment of the Blues as the players are now back to their utmost best.

However, With Eden Hazard misfiring, Costa out of sorts, Loic Remy out of favour and Radamel Falcao ready to be abandoned, Hiddink is aware that Chelsea like depth in the squad and he’ll have to bring in reinforcements in the coming weeks to mount a serious top four challenge, and Carlos Bacca is surely the player with the skills and capabilities Chelsea need most to bounce back.

The current transfer value of Milan star is £17.5 million which is quite an affordable price for a team of Chelsea’s riches

The 29-year-old has featured on 17 occasions for Milan this season, scoring 8 goals and making 1 assist with an average rating of 6.09 per game.

With his blistering pace and sharp attacking skills, the striker is expected to fit in quite nicely in the Premier League style of play .

Another plus for Chelsea is the fact that the Colombian professional would be eligible to feature in the knockout stages of the Champions League, unlike their other targets that have already made cameos in the competition.

He would really up Chelsea’s game in terms of goals considering how well he’s done at Milan already this season.

With Bacca on their side, the Blues can carry on with their top four ambitions knowing that they possess a real goalscoring threat up front.

Chelsea currently sits 14th on the Premier League table, but it doesn’t look like they will have any problem attracting new players in the subsequent weeks.
