Cristiano Ronaldo and the Intense Situation At Real Madrid

Often regarded as the best footballer in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible skills and technique have led him to astonishing heights within the sport and with Real Madrid. But now, after an exhausting week, the Portuguese superstar could be on his way out at the Santiago Bernabeu, and that has put his former club Manchester United on a red alert.

After being accused of tax fraud and frustrated by what has come of the situation, sources claim that Ronaldo is distraught and wants to leave Spain and Real Madrid. The irony, of course, could not have come at a better time with club president Florentino Perez scheduled for a live interview Monday with radio station Onda Cero.

Los Blancos became the first side to capture consecutive European titles in the Champions League era only weeks ago with their victory over Juventus, but are now quickly facing one of their most difficult situations in recent memory.

The loss of a talent like CR7 would obviously be devastating, and at this point in time, it is unclear what the outcome will be.

The Ronaldo Messi comparisons do not stop

Cristiano Ronaldo finds himself in a constant battle with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, both on the pitch and in debates with fans regarding who is the better player. Yet now, just like Messi, an embarrassing tax fraud case has brought dark clouds over Ronaldo’s character.

In order to move on from his current concerns, Ronaldo may need to find a new club and continue his spectacular career elsewhere. European heavyweights like Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester United will certainly be monitoring his decisions closely.

With rumours of Messi’s departure circulating as well from time to time, Ronaldo and his fierce rival continue to mirror one another in a variety of different ways.

A welcome distraction

There is a sense that Ronaldo’s desire to leave Madrid this week is an emotional choice due to a hectic week in his personal life, and some time away from the situation could serve the player well.

And he will gain just that chance, as the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup begins for the Portugal national team.

The tournament in Russia is a chance for Ronaldo not only to add a second major trophy for his country but allow for an important distraction as he ponders his club future.

A critical summer transfer period

Coming off a league and European double, Real Madrid must ensure that they can put themselves in a position to continue their dominance. Ronaldo’s future will be a crucial piece to this puzzle.

Los Blancos and manager Zinedine Zidane must be able to ease their star player’s troubles or focus on trying to build a new squad upon his departure. With a lack of a real replacement for what Ronaldo brings with him, it is a daunting task for all involved with the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo has written his name into football’s history books with his fantastic abilities. But now, a new chapter in his journey may be written this summer as he considers leaving the Spanish capital. Regardless of whatever club he joins, he will be counted amongst the greatest footballers of the history.
