Manchester United Target Looking for New Club

Throughout the summer transfer window, Manchester United fans were waiting for a star striker signing and had to wait till last moments before a not so renowned name, Anthony Martial came to Louis Van Gaal’s rescue. Although, Martial had won Premier League player of the award for September, it doesn’t really seemed that he was Manchester United’s boss first target.

Red Devils were constantly linked with Bale, Ronaldo and Neymar. With Ronaldo’s dream return to United looking impossible, Bale and Neymar seemed to be actual targets. Reports now suggest that Neymar is looking for a new club where he can challenge for Ballon’D or.

If reports are to be believed Neymar is not really happy living under the shadow of Lionel Messi. Although on the pitch both the players have been seen as good friends but Neymar at the age of 23 is Brazil’s captain and is not liking to play as second favorite behind Messi. Neymar believes that Messi’s presence will cause his career to stagnate and is looking for a new club.

Neymar’s father and agent had claimed that United made a world record bid to sign the young Brazilian in the summer and talks were held but couldn’t materialize. Given their summer interest and financial capability, Manchester United are one of the most practical destinations for Neymar.

Louis Van Gaal is supposedly building a strong young team to hand over to his successor and Neymar’s inclusion will be apt for a side which needs a World Class striker at their disposal to pose a threat they used to under Sir Alex Ferguson. Only time will tell if Neymar is going to leave the club that won a treble last year or is it just a stunt to increase his wages!
