5Olivier Giroud
Arsene Wenger’s refusal to bring in a centre-forward despite being left with Olivier Giroud – once again in successive seasons – means that the club are desperate to see their star striker avoid any major injuries. The 29-year-old has easily been the top scorer for the club in the last couple of seasons. He has been averaging close to 20 goals per season since joining the club from Montpelier in the summer of 2012. However, it remains to be seen if playing more than 50 games in a season takes a toll.
